It had been 4 p Impression Dresses.m. with a Tuesday i was in a gathering at work when a co-worker tapped me about the shoulder and said, There is a situation upstairs mori lee dress 2014. I just about immediately knew that I was getting engaged. (Get psychic we was discussing it along with the timing just seemed right best wedding dresses.) I really walked upstairs to discover a little green and red polka-dotted bag on my desk. Inside was this note I ran into the toilet and my co-workers followed with champagne and little paper Dixie cups. I slipped on the dress (a red dress he previously selected himself at Anthropologie), did up my makeup and said goodbye to my co-workers! (It looked like this!) Ben was outside waiting in a red car. Thats when I realized there is an excuse for all those red:When I was obviously a younger, That i used to tell my friends that in my first date, I'd personally wear a red dress, get picked up in the red car and head to dinner at Red Lobster. Not again. Just weren't going to Red Lobster are we Gurus. No, I really could never do Times Square, he said. (Phew.) Were going to Blue Ribbon within our neighborhood and would order the lobster. After dinner, we drove from your Brooklyn neighborhood back into the city well as over to the Soho Grand Hotel. He was all checked in along with the bedroom was his laptop build quietly table along with a bottle of our own favorite champagne and our absolute favorite songs playing the backdrop. He sat me down and explained that they wanted us to share with our story together from the way you met and fell for each other and gone to live in Nyc together on the time we adopted our crazy cat, all the fun vacations we had taken together plus more. THREE hours later, we had recorded just about every story we're able to consider. After which he proposed.It turned out weird and awesome and amazing. (Its a yellow gold engagement ring which has a yellow-orange sapphire.) We've got enormous families and then we also sent an email to either side of the family. Bens email to the family went something similar to this: Hi all, After having a solid seven numerous years of normal, perfectly happy, relationship, I made a decision to shake some misconception by asking Anja to marry me last night. Shes in it. Were engaged. Long story of the way it all occurred, nevertheless the gist is - Rented an awesome car - Delivered her a gown at the office on her behalf to switch into, with a remember that essentially said, This can be happening now. - Picked her up from work - Dinner at the most popular restaurant - Designed a 3hr audio recording of us telling our story from the way we met up to now (culminating on the proposal*) - Staycation with a fancy hotel in Manhattan *For individuals who will be ultra curious, make me aware and i also can give you an image with the ringseparately. Were really happy regarding it all and desired to share it along. No specific wedding plans as of yet, but well obviously make you stay posted when all the starts to come together (were most likely shooting for a wedding in Arizona in Spring of 2013). Were staying put this holidays and wont help you, but realize that were thinking of almost everyone and wishing you the best of holidays plus a very merry Christmas. And naturally there is a cake (made certainly one of the most popular bakers, Mark Joseph Cakes)! So thats the storyplot. We havent had engagement photos taken (yet!) but this is but one we snapped next weekend. Tired, happy and engaged. Wedding ceremony is within May, so were in the middle of making a great deal of wedding plans, but tonight would come out from that all and celebrate our engageaversary.
